Are Composite Doors Strong?

Yes! Infact, Composite Doors are extremely strong. Boasting a high impact resistant Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) skin wrapped around a 44mm Rigid Foam Core for our standard Foam Core Composite Doors and a 48 mm Solid Timber Core for Our Timber Composite Doors these Doors are some of the strongest Composite Doors available today.

Are Composite Doors Secure?

Thanks to its rigid polymer subframe , high impact resistant GRP skin and high quality multi-point locking mechanisms our Composite Doors are extremely secure. The Door leaf and glazing system are major components when part of a Door Set and have a proven ability to achieve PAS24:2016, industry’s enhanced security standard, a prerequisite in attaining certification to Secured by Design, a police initiative to protect against unlawful intrusion.

Are Composite Doors Energy Efficient?

Composite Doors are much more thermally efficient than UPVC and are usually at least 10mm thicker due to their rigid core. This special core maximises the thermal efficiency of your new Composite Door, making it 19% more energy-efficient than a traditional Solid Timber Door. Our Elite Composite Door Range has a U-value of 1.5W/m2K or lower, the lower the U-value, the better the Door performs as an insulator.

How long will my Doors take to be manufactured?

Our aim is to provide the best service possible to you as the customer, not only do we pride ourselves on offering some of the best products on the market in terms of performance and quality, we also like to offer a fast and cost effective service too. Our Composite Doors have a lead time of around 4-6 weeks, although if we can deliver them sooner we will always try. if you require fitting too allow around an extra 2 weeks after manufacturing to give us plenty of time to book in with you and arrange a date that suits.

Do Composite Doors require any maintanance?

Everything about a Composite Door is designed to be easy to maintain, including our insulated glass units. Simply clean with warm, soapy water and occasionally lubricate any moving parts, wipe down the GRP skin every once in while and your New Composite Door will look amazing for many years to come.

How long will my Composite Door last?

Built with longevity in mind our Composite Doors will last you for years to come. Due to their Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) skin our Bespoke Composite Doors wont weather like a traditional Timber Door and dont require repainting either, all Composite Doors come with a comprehensive 10 Year manufacturers warranty and if you upgrade to Sweet Furniture your handles and letterplate even carry a 20 Year Anti Corrosion Guarantee for added peace of mind.

We offer premium Quality Doors and Windows on a supply only basis or on a fully installed and guaranteed basis.
We offer Aluminium Doors including BiFold Doors, Sliding Patio Doors, Aluminium Entrance Doors and Panel Doors, Aluminium Windows, Composite Doors, Steel (Crittall Style) Doors, Garage Doors, UPVC Doors and Windows and Aluminium Roof Lanterns.
On average our Composite Doors take around 4 weeks to be manufactured but sometimes lead times can increase slightly. We always try our best to work within your time frame and will help out to achieve your project finish dates whenever possible. Some Composite Doors can be made within 7-14 days. Supply Only Options are quicker, fully fitted installs allow extra time.
Our Premium Quality Composite Doors will last you for many years to come, we only offer the highest of quality products and don’t do ‘cheap and cheerful’ we believe your home deserves the very best and want your products to last you a long time. All of our Composite Doors come with a minimum of a 10 year guarantee and some even come with a 20 year guarantee.

Composite Doors 10 YEAR WARRANTY

As a company we take pride in the fact we only offer premium quality products to our customers. All of our Composite Doors carry a 10 year manufacturers guarantee as well as a 10 year insurance backed warranty and an extensive workmanship guarantee giving you peace of mind as well as us. This policy guarantee’s the following:
All products will keep their Shape and Strength and shall not rot, warp, twist or split for a minimum of 10 years.
All foiled finishes shall not loose colour, peel or crack for a minimum of 10 years
All sealed glazed units are guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years
All hardware and furniture including locks and hinges is guaranteed for 10 years but allowing for fair wear and tear (all sweet furniture has a 20 year anti corrosion guarantee)
All replacement parts will be supplied and fitted for free if originally fitted by us, or supplied for free and sent out via post directly to the customer for installation by themselves or a third party if the product was purchased on a supply only basis
This guaranteee is subject to complience with our terms and conditions of sale and the cleaning/maintanance instructions provided below
All Glass should be cleaned with a purpose made glass cleaner only. We recommend using a soft cloth or sponge but Karcher window Vacuums can also be used
All couloured products should be cleaned with warm water and a non-alkaline detergent only, standard smooth white upvc can be cleaned with solvent but no other products should be cleaned with this. We recommend using a soft cloth or sponge and wiping dry once cleaned
All moving parts should be lubricated every 6 -12 months at least
Fair wear and tear includes, scratches, pitting, snapped keys in locks, broken glass units etc
